Getting Started Primeros Pasos

When you first open Paw Wallet, a quick onboarding guide walks you through adding your first pet, vaccine tracking, finding nearby vets, and how your data stays private on-device.

Changing Language

Paw Wallet supports English and Spanish.

2. Under "Language / Idioma", select your preferred language
3. The app updates immediately

Adding a New Pet

Agregar una nueva mascota

1. Tap the My Pets tab
2. Tap the + button in the top right
3. Fill in your pet's info: name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, microchip number, and optional photo
4. Tap Save

2. Toca el botón + en la esquina superior derecha
3. Completa la información: nombre, especie, raza, fecha de nacimiento, peso, número de microchip y foto opcional

Supported species: Dog, Cat, Turtle, Bird, Rabbit, or Other.

Editing or Deleting a Pet

Open the pet's profile → tap the ••• menu in the top right → select Edit or Delete Pet.

Changing a Pet's Photo

Go to Edit → tap the photo → choose Take Photo, Choose from Library, or Remove Photo.

Adding Vaccine Records

Agregar registros de vacunas

1. Open your pet's profile → Vaccines tab → tap + Add
2. Select a common vaccine or enter a custom name
3. Enter the date given and due date for the next dose
4. Optionally add vet name, clinic, lot number, notes, and photo attachments
5. Toggle "Create reminder for due date" if you want a notification
6. Tap Save

2. Selecciona una vacuna común o escribe un nombre personalizado
3. Ingresa la fecha de aplicación y la fecha de la próxima dosis

5. Activa "Crear recordatorio para la fecha de vencimiento" si deseas una notificación

1. Open your pet's profile → Visits tab → tap + Add
2. Enter clinic name (required), date, vet name, reason, and notes
3. Optionally set a follow-up date and attach photos or documents
4. Tap Save

Auto-Created Reminders

When adding a vaccine record, toggle on "Create reminder for due date" before saving and a reminder will be automatically scheduled.

Al agregar un registro de vacuna, activa "Crear recordatorio para la fecha de vencimiento" antes de guardar y el recordatorio se programará automáticamente.

To manage reminders across all pets, use the Reminders tab. Swipe left on any reminder to delete it, or tap the checkbox to mark it complete.

Para administrar recordatorios de todas tus mascotas, usa la pestaña Recordatorios. Desliza a la izquierda para eliminar o toca la casilla para marcar como completado.

Finding Vets Nearby Buscar Veterinarios Cercanos

1. Tap the Find Vet tab
2. Grant location permission when prompted
3. The map shows nearby veterinary clinics as markers
4. Tap a marker to see the clinic card — then use Call or Directions

Export a Single Pet

Open the pet's profile → ••• menu → Export → choose PDF or ZIP.

Go to My Pets tab → tap the share icon (top left) → choose format → share via Email, Files, AirDrop, or cloud storage.

Privacy & Data Privacidad y Datos

All your data stays on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework — no cloud servers, no accounts, no data collection. Internet is only required for the Vet Finder map feature.

Todos tus datos permanecen en tu dispositivo usando el framework SwiftData de Apple — sin servidores en la nube, sin cuentas, sin recopilación de datos. Solo se requiere internet para la función de búsqueda de veterinarios.

Backing Up Your Data

1. Open iPhone Settings → tap your Apple ID
2. Select iCloud → iCloud Backup
3. Enable iCloud Backup to include Paw Wallet data

Your data is also included in iTunes/Finder backups. When restoring to a new device, all Paw Wallet data transfers automatically.

Troubleshooting Solución de Problemas

Notifications not working

Las notificaciones no funcionan

Go to iPhone Settings → Paw Wallet → Notifications and ensure "Allow Notifications" is ON. Also confirm reminders have a future due date and that "Create reminder for due date" was toggled on when the vaccine was saved.

Ve a Configuración del iPhone → Paw Wallet → Notificaciones y asegúrate de que "Permitir Notificaciones" esté activado. También confirma que los recordatorios tengan una fecha futura y que "Crear recordatorio para la fecha de vencimiento" estuviera activado al guardar la vacuna.

Photos not appearing

Las fotos no aparecen

Go to iPhone Settings → Paw Wallet → Photos and select "All Photos" or "Selected Photos". For camera access, go to Settings → Paw Wallet → Camera and toggle ON.

Ve a Configuración del iPhone → Paw Wallet → Fotos y selecciona "Todas las fotos" o "Fotos seleccionadas". Para acceso a la cámara, ve a Configuración → Paw Wallet → Cámara y actívala.

Vet Finder not working

El buscador de veterinarios no funciona

Go to iPhone Settings → Paw Wallet → Location and select "While Using the App". If there are no results, check your internet connection, try searching "veterinarian" or "animal hospital", or zoom out on the map.

Ve a Configuración del iPhone → Paw Wallet → Ubicación y selecciona "Al usar la app". Si no hay resultados, verifica tu conexión a internet, intenta buscar "veterinario" u "hospital de animales", o aleja el mapa para ver un área más amplia.

App language not changing

El idioma de la app no cambia

Close and reopen the app. If the issue persists, reinstall the app.

Accidentally deleted a pet

There is no undo function. Restore from a recent iCloud or iTunes backup to recover the data.
